Race Rules and Regulations

Dual Slalom
1. Seeding Run – All entrants must set a Seeding Run time in order to qualify / go through to the next round
2. Based on the number in entrants in each category we will determine the knockout process.
3. Based on your seeding time you will be seeded with the fastest qualifier getting choice of lane.
4. Progression into the next round is purely by knockout – you must win your round to go through.
5. The 2 riders knocked out in the semi final will go through into a small final to determine 3rd and 4th place
6. Prize giving rules apply based on entries per category.
7. The Junior category is a men’s and women’s combined category.
Format
2,4,8,16,32,64
Top 16 – Men (1 & 16, 2& 15 etc etc etc) – Knock Out
Top 8 – Women (1 & 8, 2 & 7 etc etc) – Knock out
Top 8 / 4 – Junior Men / Women – Knock out
Enduro
1. Normal Enduro Rules apply except for the fact that riders are allowed to take the uplift to get to the top for each of their runs
2. There will be 4 legs, each leg to be completed by each of the riders
3. Riders will be allocated their leg order at the start
4. Riders must complete all 4 legs in the allocated time.
5. Riders only get one chance at each leg.
6. Riders will be required to scan in at the start of each leg and scan out and the finish of each leg to complete their run.
7. The winner will be determined by the rider with the least accumulative time over the 4 legs
DownHill Eliminator
1. Seeding Run – All Entrants are required to do a timed seeding run on a course allocated by the CrankChaos team. Seeding times will be used to allocate starting positions in groups of 4.
2. Based on the number in entrants in each category we will determine the knockout process.
3. Based on your seeding time you will be paired with 3 other riders to make up a 4 man grid and course will drawn from a hat.
4. Progression into the next round is purely by knockout – with the top 2 from each round going through.
5. Prize giving rules apply based on entries per category.
6. The Junior category is a men’s and women’s combined category.
Format
4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128
Top 16 – Men (1,2 & 15,16 /  3,4 & 13,14 /  etc etc etc) – Knock Out
Top 8 – Women (1,2 & 7,8 / 3,4 & 5,6 etc etc) – Knock out
Top 8 / 4 – Junior Men / Women – Knock out
Whip Off
A judging panel of 3 judges will be selected.
A jam session of 30mins will follow
5 men
3 women will then be chosen
A final whip-off will then take place to determine the winners
Hill Climb
The rules are simple
All start together at the bottom of the slope
The rider that gets the furtherest up the slope without either of their feet touching the ground is the winner
Strava Avalanche and Black Mountain Pass
The segments and their results are determined by the Strava App.
Athletes will need to ensure that their time / segment is captured by latest 15:00 on Saturday the 3rd of November
Prize Giving Rules
1. 4 or more riders in a category – Prize Money / Prizes for Top 3
2. 3 or less riders in a category – Prize Money / Prize for 1st place only
3. All existing rules for Dual Slalom, Eduro and Down Hill apply
4. Rules are managed and controlled 100% by the event organization with regards to queries and their decision is final.
5. Strava segments are managed 100% by the Strava App
6. Hill Climb and Whip off are unofficial events but must be registered for and will be judged by a selected panel.
7. Prize Giving will take place immediately after each event.
